The SS Valiant was an early starship that explored the outer edge of the galaxy in 2065. She was commissioned and launched about a week after warp drive was invented. The Valiant was a stout ship commanded by an officer that clearly knew where the panic button was located. The vessel encountered the galactic barrier, but her "hemi" powered impulse engines weren't strong enough to negotiate the pink peanut butter fields. Or perhaps it was the notorious floating suspension. On the other hand, the unconvincing end-caps installed by CBS-D Ship Yards might have had something to do with her predictable loss.
